Our goal within the GMPS is to investigate and debunk a site. We will try to find out what is going on and why it is going on at a site. We never go to a site with the mind set that a site is haunted. If you do that then everything you see and hear will become a ghost.
Anyone wishing to join the GMPS will read over all rules and guidelines before filling out any applications. Anyone filling out an application will interview with the head investigator before being allowed to join. And must join the Yahoo Groups page A.S.A.P.
All members of the GMPS will act in a professional manner at all times. No Horseplay.
All members of the GMPS will respect that location we investigate and anything that we might find at an investigation.
There will be no one allowed to investigate with the GMPS below the age of 18. And no one will be allowed to accompany a member of the GMPS below the age of 18.
All members of the GMPS will be trained on gear and how to investigate a site before being allowed to go out with the GMPS in the field.
All members will carry a flashlight (preferred with a red lens) at all times. A note pad and pen for note taking.. And any gear that is loaned to you must be returned in the same condition it was given. If you break it you buy it.
No one will promise or state during or after an investigation that we can get rid of anything within a site. We only investigate a site and try to find out what is happening within that site.
All copies of photos, videos or voice recordings will be given to the head investigator to be analyzed. And become to property of the GMPS for posting on the webpage, used in our media, and given to whom ever property we investigate.
Privacy is first and foremost with GMPS. We will not broadcast personal information about any residence or its occupants. We will ask permission to use photos, video or audio footage on our website. Our goal is to protect the privacy of those who permit us to investigate their location.
There will be NO smoking within a GMPS Investigation. Smoking can cause photo anomalies that can be misidentified as evidence of paranormal activates.
There will be NO drinking 24 hours prior to an investigation. Drinking even small amounts of alcohol can cause changes in personality and judgment. In the interest of investigative accuracy and professionalism, we save any drinking for after our work is done.
We do not allow guests on our investigations; however, on a rare occasion we may request the assistance of an affiliate on an investigation. Only individuals that are personally well known to the group, and have proven themselves to be professional are considered for affiliation status with GMPS.
Due to our use of sensitive recording devices we must limit access to the investigation locale. It is important to remember that audio and video recordings must be reviewed for potential evidence. If there is too much human activity in the area, the potential to find paranormal evidence is greatly reduced.
Once the investigation is complete, GMPS needs time to review the footage, isolate potential anomalous evidence, test the evidence and report on the finding.
We work to get back to the client as soon as we can with a report of our findings. We will review the evidence with the client and provide any anomalous findings on a CD, through email or bring it to the client.
There are some public places that do not authorize or permit the use of photography or video photography on the premises or surrounding areas. We comply with all posted rules and regulations of the locations we visit. Additionally we respect the integrity of these locations and the requirements of the owners.
